BISE DI Khan Board
Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Dera Ismail Khan was constituted in the year 2006. Its establishment is not so old but development is very fast.it is performing its operation in a building situated on the River Road of Dera Ismail Khan. The board has formulated two sections for controlling the examination sector, metric section and intermediate section. Former one deals with the examination related to metric while the latter one deals with the examination activities related to the intermediate.
The printing of question papers is also look after by the boards’ printing section. This board is also functioning according to the norms and principles declared in the KPK act 1990. The act is complete framework that includes every detail for running the board. Controlling authority is liable to pass directions and instructions which are mandatory for the board to follow. District Dera Ismail Khan along with FATA regions, South Waziristan Agency, and District Tank and its FATA regions are incorporated in the jurisdictions of the board.
Furthermore, all Government schools including secondary, higher secondary and colleges for girls and boys tehsil wise, schools categorized as private (tehsil wise) and colleges categorized as Private (Tehsil wise) all comes under the supervision of the board. In order to sit in the exam, all students are mandatory to get enroll or register with the board by filling appropriate forms or other documents. There are almost 35,000 students who are registered in the metric section and around 25,000 are enrolled in the intermediate section.

The mission and objectives of the board aligns with that of the other educational bodies. That is to render high class educational facilities and services to the students. The boards are consistently maintaining a smooth academic culture. A large amount of students successfully pass from these boards and go for higher education. The reason behind increasing the number of boards with respect to the cities is the rapid increasing number of students. It’s good to know that people of Pakistan are becoming aware of the importance of education and coming to their children enrolled with boards for attainment of education.
